I've had my yeti 30oz. Rambler for years now and love it, my 64oz. jug, and my colster are both trusty friends, but I had held off for 3 years on buying a yeti cooler because of justifying the cost to myself. Well I finally had some unallocated cash and after watching numerous review/testing videos I decided to treat myself and I don't regret it one bit! The quality of construction and overall feel of the Tundra 45 is amazing, this thing feels tougher than my truck. I wanted to start with a controlled test for the forest use so I followed the tips and pre-chilled it with a bag of ice, went to bed, went to work, came back 24 hours later and dumped in another 20 lbs. of fresh ice along with 12 cans of tasty Texas craft beers. I only opened it a couple times a night after work each night for a few beers. Other than that it's been sitting in the same spot in the same temperature for a full 7 days now and there's still ice!!!! Most has melted, but there's enough left that the ice/water mixture is so cold it hurts to reach in and my beers are insanely cold! I'll probably be able to get another day or two out of the remaining ice, which is crazy, a full week of ice retention and then some. Not to mention Yeti sent some awesome free great with my cooler. I'm very impressed to this point and happy a pulled the trigger on this cooler; it will last for many years to come and many family adventures! If you're on the fence, just spend the money and buy it, you won't regret it!!!
